Pyles Of Smiles – Now In Northern Arizona!

We’ve MOVED! While we still are available to help rescue Sammies in the general Western US area through our extensive network of volunteers, Larry & Shellie & The Pack have moved to Northern Arizona, near Prescott, in order to pursue a new career helping families in need there and to be near family. The Sammies are finding that they get to enjoy MORE SNOW than they did in California and much more mild summers than Redding had. Woooo-woooo!

If you’re ever in the area, please contact us to arrange a visit.

    Hi Shellie,
Congrats on moving to Arizona. I hope you all will be very happy there.

Just to let you know my Juneau is in her last year. (The vet said 6 months to one year.) She doesn’t seem to be in pain, so I am caring for her with love hoping that she will last this last year. Her back legs are very weak, but she can still get up on the right rugs, otherwise she has me to help her up and in and out. I guess what I’m saying is, I’m interested in getting another Sammy when she goes.

However, with you all in Arizona, I don’t see how to make that happen. I am a member of B.A.S.H. (where I got my Ellie puppy, who is now 13 months old), and NORSLED, where I fostered a previous dog. I will keep looking locally. If you hear of any in CA in the next 6-12 months, just let me know. I’d like another smallish one, 40-45 lbs. Ellie is 60 lbs and that’s a bit large for me, but she’s a real sweetie; she’s all white and has some Sammy in her but not the fluffy kind.

Anyway, keep up the good work and take good care of yourselves.

Shellie…we just learned that you moved to N. AZ. What will we do for rescue now? Kira and Tchai are having great lives, but Kira is 11 this year. As you know that’s about the life span of an average Sam. The supply of purebred Samoyeds in rescue up here is nil. And the dogs you let us have (all 3 of them) were and still are TERRIFIC.

Your Colonel, my Topper is nearing his end also. You will have to go back to 2003 or 02 to find him in your records. good luck in your new place.

Just a quick note to say congratulations on your new digs. Our dear Tobee is now 10 years old and has been with us since the day we drove north to Sanctuary and adopted him. He’s a lovely dog. He has a little Sam sister age 5 who is very pretty and very nice to him. Thanks for our years of receiving joy from Tobee (a.k.a. Al).

    Hi Jan,

That would be loads of fun! I don’t get up to Sedona too much, but sure appreciate the scenery when I do get to go through. We like this area, though.

Maybe you can come during the Prescott KC Shows held here in Chino Valley the weekend of September 16th.

    Shellie
